Welcome to the Monsters Birth Monsters Series
This series explores themes of psychological manipulation, abuse, indoctrination, trauma and the cost of survival. It includes depictions of non-consensual power dynamics, identity fragmentation, and the long-term effects of coercive control. These elements are presented through a psychological dark fantasy horror lens and are not intended to romanticize or glorify abuse in any form.
Monsters Birth Monsters is a psychological horror series about what happens when identity is sculpted by those in power, and when survival means surrendering pieces of yourself until you don’t recognize who’s left.
This is not a romance. There will be no soft redemption and no clean healing arcs. Instead, this series holds a mirror to the brutal emotional complexity of being raised to serve, of mistaking devotion for safety, and of reclaiming your identity from the people who called it protection when they caged you.
The relationships in this series are intentionally difficult and often disturbing. What looks like love may be obedience. What feels like protection may be control. What is offered as a gift may be a weapon or a chain to keep the victim close.
These dynamics are not meant to be desired. They are meant to be examined and questioned.
This series contains themes that some readers may find distressing, including:
• Psychological abuse and manipulation
• Memory tampering and identity erosion
• Emotional, physical, and sexual abuse and coercive behavior
• Childhood abuse and neglect
• Religious trauma, fanaticism, and ritual sacrifice
• Obsession, unhealthy attachment, and possessiveness
• War, political violence, torture, and imprisonment
• Graphic violence, blood, and gore
• Death, grief, mourning, and loss
• Pregnancy, childbirth, miscarriage, and child loss
• Mental illness and psychological deterioration
• Body horror and supernatural horror
• Morally complex relationships and power imbalances
The presence of these themes does not mean they are endorsed or romanticized. Many relationships, choices, and beliefs within this series are intentionally unhealthy, tragic, or unsettling. Their inclusion is meant to explore the lasting consequences of conditioning, trauma, power, love, and survival, not to justify them.
If you have experienced trauma, coercion, or abuse in any form, this story may be deeply affecting. Please take care of yourself first.
Reader discretion is strongly advised.
Thank you for reading with an open mind.
